ON the second Saturday of every month, bakers and craft-makers gather in Rotary Park, Kurri Kurri, for the Farmers Markets.

The Farmers Markets are run by the Kurri Kurri Girl Guides and were established as part of a "Towns with Heart" initiative.

The markets have been running for two years.

They were launched to bring business to local businesses, as well. Many businesses have, in fact, decided to take part in the markets.

The markets have also proved to be a very successful fund-raiser for the Girl Guides.

The markets have a wide variety of produce, which is fresh, good quality, and local.

There are more than 20 stalls selling organic seasonal fruit and vegetables, oysters, plants, coated nuts, goat products including cheese and pies, honey and craft.

As the markets have grown, so has the support the markets provide to the local area.

The markets also allow non-profit organisations to hold stalls to raise money.

The markets are a great asset for Kurri, and with continued support they will continue to grow.

Why not check it out?
